Christmas Card

Good morning peeps - Forgot this post was scheduled. I hadn't finished my write up. Silly me.
It's just a quick post I'm afraid. Too much going on today. I'm still not in the swing of card making. Totally lost inspiration - to the point where after colouring I've torn up a card as I'm not happy with it, then I think " omg - just wasted all that lovely paper ". Really don't know whats up with me.
I guess we all feel this way at some point.

Ingredients for the card is as follows -

Pre-coloured TEDDYBEA_220 - perfect for me right now.
Papers PAPERMANIA - Home for Christmas.
FLOWERS - Wild Orchid Crafts
GEMS and BUTTON - Papermania
RIBBON - from stash
SENTIMENT - Lili of the Valley
Cheery Lynne - Fanciful Flourish
Holy Night words behind Bea are from a free site - will look it up

Cocco with Present

Hi everyone - long time no see!
Trying to get myself back in to card making again. Gosh, it's been so hard. Lost my mojo BIG time.
It was my birthday yesterday and Hubby bought me the Grand Calibur - thanks to my youngest Daughter who told him what I had been saving for. So was a wonderful surprise!
For this card I have used the Go Kreate XL Frames - Frilly #10. I have to say I was totally ripped off with my die. I haven't ordered from the site before - my die was purchased at my local Docraft stockist. I paid £19.99 for my die and I have just been to Go Kreates web site and it's only £13.99. A lesson I have learnt and when I visit my craft shop again I WILL be telling them for sure.
Anyway - I have used the lovely Cocco with Present from Magnolia for this card.
Isn't she gorgeous and so cute? Coloured with Pro-markers.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - except green bunch
Cheery Lynne - Fanciful Flourish
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Cheese cloth and doily - gifts

Challenges I am entering my card.

Well, I'm afraid that's it from me today. Sorry it's a quick post but I still have 101 things to do. I hope I find you all fit and well.

FOR SALE - NOW SOLD

Good morning peeps. No card I'm afraid as I have been busy doing my crocheting.
So this is only a quick post for me. I was asked to make a baby blanket for a friend who's friend is expecting and due any day now.
This blanket took me two weeks to make. Totally enjoyed making this, though soon got bored with adding the tassel's. LOL
Anyway - after using 4 balls of wool at £3.95 a ball and charging my friend £5.00
for making it. She decided it was too expensive. I believe I have under charged for the time it took to make, after speaking to my local wool shop owner.
So......as I'm a little disappointed - I'm now left with this blanket and have no baby's to give to.
This is why I thought I would sell on my blog. I am asking for £20.00 plus £4.00 postage.
£24.00 in total - paypal payment.UK only I'm afraid.
The blanket measures 42" x 27" ( inches )
If anyone is interested, just give me a shout. Well.....time for me to go as i have Holly here this morning.

My first attempt at crochet

My first attempt at crocheting - used 3 balls of double knitting in cream and beige round the edge. I mixed the cream and beige together to make the flowers. Sewn buttons in the middle to finish off.
Please don't take my word for this but I think I used double crochets ( TUTORIAL HERE ) and single crochets on this blanket. The flowers ( TUTORIAL HERE ) are not perfect but for a first timer, I am pleased with the end result.
 So easy to do.
Now this second blanket - is again done in double knitting in a mint green baby wool.
The picture doesn't really show its true colour. I'm on my second ball of wool and plan to use four.
I found the pattern on the internet just googling free patterns.
 Here is the link.
This is the pattern I downloaded.

Here are the tutorials that I followed on youtube.

triple crochet - HERE
I hope you can click on the links - and enjoy playing like I have,
Happy Crafting.

I'm still alive !!!

Sorry, I haven't been about for a month. I just so needed a break. Feeling much better and I think my mojo as returned - not sure how long for but here is four cards that I have made for all the weddings that seem to be taking place lately. Totally forgot I had to do them, so Thursday and Friday I really had to get stuck in. My dear friend helped getting my juices flowing by picking out the images and dies etc.
I have used LOTV pre - coloured squares - called WEDDINGS
They are fantastic if you've lost your mojo like me. No colouring, I just added glitter to the dies and some small bows.
I enjoyed making each and everyone of them. In fact I have now coloured a Teddy Bo stamp and a Magnolia, so hopefully more cards will follow this week.
Plus I want to share with you some crocheting I have done. I'm on my second baby blanket. Never been able to crochet, so whilst having a break from my cards I watched a few youtube tutorials and soon picked it up. I even made some little flowers too. Well, chuffed with myself!
Anyway back to my cards - these silver embossed cards I bought many years a go from Create and Craft.....totally forgot I had them until I sorted my craft den out and found them. I have tried to search for them but no joy at the moment. The inside of all the cards I used the envelopes for pocket to insert money or vouchers. Seemed a shame to waste the envelopes as they were lovely. I couldnt have used them for the cards as the embellishments were too large, so made boxes for each of them.
Well, that's it for me today. I do hope you like the cards.
I am entering these in the Wild Orchid Craft Challenge - Summer Flowers. Ideal, don't you think?
