Paper Star - template link now working - sorry folks!

Afternoon bloggers.
Tammy had some crafting time last night and finished off this morning.
I'm a follower of Inger's blog and she made the most amazing paper star lantern I have ever seen.
I fell in love with it straight away and just HAD to make one.
You can find the template HERE
It really does have a vintage feel about it.....gorgeous...and I have another glued up and waiting to dry out for me to embellish.
I have used the adorable Christmas Morning Tilda - so sweet.
Coloured her with Pro-markers - soft creams and beige's, glitter added to her frills. Mounted her on to silver mirror board.
I then cut the template down in Adobe and added sentiments. Cut out and glued on to the star.
Sentiments say - Believe in the Magic - May the Magic of Christmas Warm your Heart and finally a greeting which says its from me and my family. Punched lots of snow flakes and added gems in white and silver to the centers. I'm actually so pleased how this looks.
There is cheese cloth and some lace behind Tilda and a white / silver bow, with a glittered snowflake attached to the front with a christmas tag behind. Silver beads have been glued to the end of each point.
Once everything was set and dried I gave it a spray of glimmer mist.
I'm going to be entering this project into some  challenges as its been a long time since I entered one.
First Challenge is TOMIC which is Vintage and Lace - I think the star qualifies for this challenge.
Secondly The Shabby Tea Room which is Winter Picnic. They asks that you create a card or project inspired by the photo and USE WHITE OR CREAM, NEUTRALS, SILVER AND GLITTER! I've definately covered that.
Simon says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes
Cutie Pie Challenge - Pastel Christmas
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Anything Christmas
Addicted to Stamps - Christmas Card
Magnolia Down Under - Let it snow
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Make a gift anything but a card
Totally Papercrafts - Christmas
Charisma Cardz - snow flakes

Right I am off - to create again.

Tag Card & Matching Framed Image

These tag cards have been going around blogland now for ages. So as its something different Tammy gave it a go. Really enjoyed making it up.
Here is the link for the tag if any one wishes to play.

Used my favourite papers - DCWV - NAN'S NURSERY - BABY BOY
Embellished with Wild Orchid Flowers and gems.
Swirl die-cut - I think its a Marianne Die
Side ribbon says " tiny hands and tiny feet " this was from the NEC last year and I believe it was Ribbon Girl.
TEDDYBOBEA_065 as been coloured with Pro-markers.
Side sentiment is from Fizzy Moon.
Made for my hairdresser who is ready to give birth any day soon.
Side view of card shows the inside which complements the front.
Small greeting added.
As an extra special gift - I printed TEDDYBOBEA_087 - coloured again with Pro-markers.
Frame was purchased from poundland - decorated with Martha Stewart punch and
Wild Orchid Craft Flowers.
Since adding this to my scheduled post - my hairdresser gave birth to an healthy
baby boy at 5 1/2 pounds. Can't wait to see him.

Well, thank you for taking a peek. I will catch you all again soon.

Teddy Bo Tuesday & Mid week reminder for " Christmas but NO red or green should be seen " Challenge

Made this for my Granddaughter Holly - who as a huge selection of giraffes.
He's ideal for new born / birthdays or like I've used him for - Christmas.
I have to say I think this is the BESTEST card I have made in a long time. I have had 2 orders already - one for a baby's Christmas and one for someone who adores giraffes. On to today's card.
Not sure why its called a magic card though.
Seen these around blog land so thought I'd give it a go. Totally loving it, so different from a standard square card and a little elegant looking too.

Coloured TEDDYBOBEA_087 with pro-markers.
I have used a mixture of DCWV - LINEN CLOSET and FIRST EDITION - ISABELLE.
Both are my favorite papers and colour combinations.
SO LUSH!
 MARTHA STEWART punch been used at the edge of the card.
 Small snow flakes are buttons - got these from HOBBY CRAFT.
Strange me not having flowers but the card didn't really need any - plain but looks sweet.

Here is the link for instructions if any one wants to play.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't forget you still have a few days left to enter the challenge over at Teddy Bo & Co.
Christmas creations but no RED or GREEN to be seen. That's not hard is it?
Here is a peek at the new releases of gorgeous stamps.
Have a good week folks, catch you all soon.
Happy Crafting
Magic Card & Christmas Stocking
Not the best of pictures I'm afraid. I purchased a " Day-Light " bulb yesterday, hoping that taking photographs of my cards etc, it would make a HUGE difference. At £8.99 - a bulb - its totally poo!
Its more like a 20 watt bulb. I did have a day light lamp, that I used for my cross stitch which was amazing but sadly I lent a friend and never got it back. Typical isn't it?
Anyway - on to my card, not sure why its called a magic card though.  Seen these around blog land so thought I'd give it a go. Totally loving it, so different from a standard square card and a little elegant too.
I got the tutorial for this card from here - though I have change the size,
so that its 6 inches by 6 inches.
I have used a mixture of DCWV - LINEN CLOSET and FIRST EDITION - ISABELLE.
Both are my favorite papers and colour combinations.
SO LUSH!
I have coloured MAGNOLIA SWEET CHRISTMAS - SOMETHING FOR YOU - TILDA
with pro-markers and used Poly Pencils for her cheeks and adding high-lights above where her nose should be. Then to her hat and jacket I added some SNOW WRITER - great dimensional effect - then sprinkled some GLAMOUR DUST over the top and set to one side to dry - does take a few hours. Though I have found placing it in the air-ing cupboard does speed the process a lot quicker.
MARTHA STEWART punch been used at the edge of the card. Glittered snow flakes are from my stash and were originally table decorations.
Small snow flakes are buttons - got these from HOBBY CRAFT.
Sentiment is from stash too - got these last year at the NEC. Used a little cheese cloth too and swirl die to finish off. Strange me not having flowers but the card didn't really need any.
Lots of clear and green gems added to the right of Tilda where I also added some shadowing.
Now on to the stocking - which I've made to match the card.
You can find the template for this from here.
I used a white gel pen to give the effect of stitching - looks fantastic.
Silver Christmas ribbon is ANITA'S - DOCRAFTS.
 A great idea for gift cards as they are so plain when purchased from stores.
Gift tag is from CRAFT WORK CARDS.
Well, that's it from me - I'm off for a cuppa, then best clear my table else no one will be eating there for lunch tomorrow - GOSH - it is tomorrow already. What am I like?
Sleep tight everyone - catch you soon.
Desk Top Calendar
Sorry I haven't been about all week - been in my bed - so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!
Roll on when my health picks up...which won't be yet am afraid. My pre-op appointment as now been cancelled on the 6th Dec. There is apparently a big waiting list ( my doctor said there wasn't ) for the surgery, so I won't be getting it done until later next year. I'm not happy, so I'm making an appointment to see my doctor today and hopefully he'll be able to do something for me. I have lost almost a stone in weight - so can't afford to loose more. I only eat one meal a day and that's when I sit with my family at tea time. I avoid food to avoid the pains. This year as just been awful for me - one thing after the other, so hopefully the New Year will bring new and better things for me.
So on to my creation - don't want to bore you with my problems.
ACRYLIC FRAMES - DESK TOP CALENDAR
These acrylic frames I have had for years - so can't remember where I purchased them from.
I know at the time they were very cheap....so I bought 10 landscape and 10 portrait.
I used 6 last year for the table planners at my friends wedding.
So with whats left I thought Id make some desk calendars for friends.
Ingredients are as follows ~
FIRST EDITION PAPERS -  Bird Song - lush!
DIE each side of calender - Spellbinders - Shapeabilities - Ironwork Motifs.
Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.
Birthday Card - Mo Manning
Sorry I haven't been about much this week - been in my bed. So sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!! Really need a pick me up right now - fingers crossed I should have my date this week for operation.
I will be so relieved to be pain free at last - and my appetite back too.
This card was requested from a dear friend of mine - she always keeps me busy with cards.
I havent used a Mo Manning digital stamp in ages - so thought this one was so ideal for a 1 year old.
I have actually printed this again - as will look fabulous for a Christmas card.
The stars have been hand cut from a shape in adobe.
The papers I have used are FIRST EDITION but can not remember the pads name - used cut-offs.
So love these two colours together. Ribbon and bow are from DOCRAFTS.
He's been coloured with Pro-markers - thought I would have a change from my Poly-pencils.
Off to get the kitchen done - as I don't have fairies any more!!
Saturated Canary - Whispy
Hi everyone - I'm feeling much better - relaxed and made this card.
It's late - my bed time - though I say relaxed - my mind is still working over time regarding my surgery. Give me a few days and Tammy will be back to normal - promise.
It's amazing how card making takes so many worries away.
Made this for my Daughter's work colleague.
The link to Krista's adorable cutie is at the top of my post. Totally in love with these stamps.
Like I have said before a new addiction.
I have used FIRST EDITION PAPERS - SUMMER BREEZE - my fave colour combination.
Flowers and gems are Wild Orchid Crafts.
 The card inside is designed to match the front. I also decorate the back as I hate to see it looking so plain. Right its 1am - need to tidy the dining table - Tammy is such a messy crafter.
Most of you are tucked up in your beds now.
So sleep tight - God Bless
Update on my Hospital appointment
Hello to my crafting friends - what a bloody day I have had! Was at the hospital for just after 9am. Sat there for an hour when I was taken away to have my weight / height and BMI done. At 10.30 I was called by the doctor - once in there I realised it wasn't the doctor / surgeon I was meant to be seeing. My doctor was running late so this one took over some of the patients. Hope your ready for this........he was asking me questions on my health and the pains I was getting - he said " It seems to me you have IBS and I can't understand why you are here "! Cus of all the waiting Tammy was fuming and I asked him if he had read my notes - as I have two large gall stones and an infection in my gall bladder - that I was here because I was having surgery. All he said was " OH "! So off the nurse went to print my notes off for him. I then signed the paper work for the operation....in which he informed me I would be a day patient....arrive at 8am and will be home by 2pm. Truthfully..... I have come back home more scared than ever now.
Day patient - surely that cant be right? What if  things go wrong - complications after being sent home?
I did lots of research on the surgery, everything I read - your normally in hospital two days. I asked him why a day patient and he said I was healthy and didn't need me to take up beds when I could recover better at home. Shocking or what? The operation will be carried out before Christmas too. My pre-op is booked for the 6th December.
So I got home at 12pm......and done nothing but walk up and down the living room scared out of my wits!
I'll be alright I know - so off for a cuppa and a fag - need it badly!
Love to all xxx
Christmas Penguins
I'm away for now and have scheduled this to appear - hope it all works.
Made a boo-boo last time I tried.
These cute penguins are Fairydoodlers - you can find them by going over to www.teddybo.com
and clicking on fairyd store - there are 6 stamps in total for an amazing £2.50.
I have coloured them in with Pro-markers and Poly Pencils.
I paper pieced the bow tie - and glittered up. You can't really see the paper piecing on the picture but does look sweet in my hand.
Used the gorgeous FIRST EDITION PAPERS - FESTIVE TREATS.
Honestly these papers are fantastic. The only embellishments I have used are gems and a sentiment.
Didn't think it needed anything else.
Hope you've all had a great weekend - see you all Monday or Tuesday.
I can " bearly " wait for Christmas
Morning everyone - I'm sharing two cards today - similar layouts but two images.
This is not my colour combination at all - tend to go for pastels & beige's.
I purchased a couple of days ago FIRST EDITION - FESTIVE TREATS and CHRISTMAS JOY
The designer paper pads jumped out at me straight away.
I do adore First Edition papers, so LUSH!
Fantastic glittered papers and some are double sided.
I have used TEDDYBEA_ 158 and TEDDYBO_148 and as you can see I have done some paper piecing on Bea's coat and Bo's boots and scarf.
I don't have SNOW TEX, so I mixed some " FLOWER-SOFT " with white acrylic paint and a little fine glitter. Hey - presto Tammy made snow!! Simply as that!
Coloured with Poly pencils and Pro-markers.
No flowers, just gems - though can't decide if they need at least a bow.
Here is a picture of the gorgeaous paper packs I used for the cards.
Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend of crafting.
I'm off to a wedding so may not be about.
Catch you all soon
Saturated Canary - Stroppy Beth - A Ragamuffin
Good Morning Bloggers.
Hope I find you all fit and well....and...of cause making some wonderful creations.
Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who left a comment on my last card.
I had 17 comments in all - and I have to tell you - that's the best yet. Ok, I entered a few challenges with that card - but most comments were by my followers or new ones.
Thank you very, very much - it means such a lot to me.
Now on to the above card. It's took my a few days to produce this one - I lost my mojo and screwed up two other cards. Just wasn't working for me.
Then on Monday my Daughter asked if I wanted to go to town and take a look in the new
" RANGE " store that had opened over the weekend. Reluctantly I went.
OMG! OMG! OMG!
Imagine the excitement when I went upstairs and found a " CRAFT SECTION ".
I was buzzing and best of all they stocked my favourite papers and had the new
FIRST EDITION - ISABELLE paper stack in - oh and lots more I hadn't seen.
So straight away my mojo returned - why - cus the ISABELLE papers are my fave all time
colour combination - the added glitter is LUSH!!!
Crazy Tammy was dancing about and getting strange looks! So £71 later ( sshhh!!! Don't tell Hubby ) and £10 off for spending over £60, I couldnt wait to get home and play with my new papers.
So I printed off this gorguss Saturated Canary digi stamp.
She's called STROPPY BETH - A RAGAMUFFIN and can be found here.
I got the pro-markers out this time to colour her. Again my fave colours and she goes so well with the papers. Can't wait to make another card - though did buy some Christmas papers too - so may make a crimbo card instead - tee hee.
I am starting to run out of flowers in soft pastel greens and beige's, so I got rid of the dust on my punches and punched flowers instead - not too sure about them but hey-oh, I love the card.
The sentiment I got from the RANGE too - they are TULIP toppers by DOCRAFTS. They were on offer in the store - 3 for 2. Oh I tell - I am so happy that I havent got to travel miles to a crafts shop when I need something in a hurry - I must give Sandra ( http://cardilicious-cards.blogspot.com ) a shout, cus she lives a cross the road.
Right I'd best shoot - house work isn't done yet and I have chores to do for my Nan too today.
Take care everyone.
Hugs & Loves
Tammy
