Teddy Bo Challenge # 11 - Shaped Cards

Firstly - I would like to introduce the lovely Bev Rochester and Tab from Tabby Crafts Designs
as  permanent members of our Design Team.
I'm surprised you haven't heard us all screaming with delight - saying that - it's us that probably caused the bad weather over the weekend, with all the noise we were making.
Its fantastic to have two well known and talented crafters with us. Their creations will most certainly inspire you as I am sure they will me.

We had so many fantastic entries that the design team had a very difficult time picking just three, but eventually the decision was made and our winners this week are:

Overall Winner
No' 25 Marianne
Runner up's
No' 20 Vicky & No' 36 Sandiblu

Congratulations - and well done - a wonderful selection of cards.

This week's challenge is sponsored
by our friends at

The prize for the winner is 3 sets of digi sentiments.
The winner will also receive their choice of three graphics from the Teddy Bo store and the runners up get to chose 1 graphic each.
This week's theme is :

Shaped Cards
No squares or rectangles allowed and don't forget you must use a Teddy Bo and Co image, so let's see what amazing creations you can come up with this time around.
Entries to be submitted by midnight (GMT) Sunday 14th June.
Good Luck.

Back of the letter " M "

I have gone for something a little different.
I cut the letter " M " out twice with my cri-cut....used normal settings and shadow setting.
Attached to acetate to allow the letter to stand tall.

Bea as been printed on to Bristol Board and coloured with Poly Pencils, again I have blended with baby oil using paper stumps. Glitter was added to her pom-poms and heart shaped button on her arm.

Flowers as always are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The link can be found on my side bar.

Papers used are from Panduro and called " Frosted Bluegreen ". My all time favourite paper stack - so lush! I am running terribly low on these, so must get stocked up again.
A shame the pictures arent showing the true colour of them.

I have recently taken up knitting - hoping that it will relax me a little at night time.
I seem rather stressed of late - so much going on that I never have any ME time.
So here is a preview of what I have been getting up too. Not finished but I will be adding more pictures as the days go by.
Anyway - hoping to see more of you entering our challenge....and good luck.
Take care for now.

Wee Stamps - Silver Fairy

Isn't she just the sweetest fairy ever?
I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her on Sylvia's blog.
Though I did purchase mine from Cuddly Buddly. She is definitely a MUST have!

Now for the papers - I found them just googling and I have to tell you they print just perfect and again another MUST have! They are one of my favourite colour combo's. You do have to wait for the digital download cus of the time difference. But for $1.50, who's complaining?
Certainly not me!

They certainly live up to their name " Charming ".
I bet I know someone that will be popping over and purchasing these - go on Tab, get yourself over there! ;) If you click on the papers it will take you straight to the store.

I have coloured this Wee Stamp with Poly Pencils and blended with baby oil.
Again my fave colour combo. I have added glitter to her wings to give them some sparkle.
If you click on the picture to en-large you will see the effect.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - link on my side bar. Get yourself over there if you have never visited before. But watch your purse strings - you can get carried away with all the beautiful flowers.

The inside of the card complements the front - it's so nice to have them matching. I haven't yet added a sentiment as I haven't made this card for a certain person. I guess I will add one at a later date.
Now for the lace - don't you think its amazing? We have a stall on the market which sells beautiful hand embroidery lace and other Asian materials. It was only £1.15 a metre so there was no way I was going to let a bargain go like that. Another MUST have! Oh - Sandra if you read this and love it - he's there on Thursdays only. I stocked up big time, just in case he's not there again.
Now if I have some pennies spare next time I go to the market....I will of course get more and put up as CANDY. I am sure some of you will love it as much as I do.

Back of the Card

Now, I am having a few problems sticking my flowers down. Ran out of glue for my heat gun. So using silicone glue. Question for you - does it have a sell by date?  They are just not holding. Now I am not sure if its the paper I have printed on, as its photo paper and does have a chalky coating.
Really is doing my head in. At the moment I have a few punches sitting on top of the flowers to keep them down. Help if you can!!
I am also going to enter this card in to a challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts - the challenge is LACE.
Well, off to my bed soon.....that's as soon as I have cleaned my floor. There is paper and bits every where. Such a messy crafter. ..... but I guess I'm not the only one?
Sweet Dreams - happy crafting.

Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon for the Bow.
Printed image on to Bristol Board.

Teddy Bo Challenge # 10

Good morning Teddy Bo & Bea fans. Can you believe it - it's time for yet another challenge!
Bo as seen himself on a lot of cards recently so he wants a challenge JUST for him!! So, how easy could it be, Father's Day is just round the corner so what a perfect excuse to get organised in advance and also try and win some fantastic prizes?!?!? All you need to do is submit your entry with Teddy Bo as the main image on your item....it can be whatever you want as long as you made it, the more creative the better!!!
Entries should be submitted before MIDNIGHT on Sunday 29th May UK time.
We are sponsored by our dear friend at Bearly Mine Designs
So the overall winner of this challenge will receive a £10 Gift Voucher and 3 Digital Stamps from Teddy Bo Store. Runner ups will also get to choose a stamp too. How cool is that?
On to my card - now I have to say that I really do struggle with men's cards. I can honestly say in the 10 years + that I have been making cards, I have only been asked a couple of times to make one.
I totally miss the flowers and ribbons....on men's cards. I'll tell you the temptation was there.
I have used Teddy Bo_02 ~ " On His Tod ". On the original stamp he isn't wearing a tie, this was added digitally from an image in Adobe.
He as been coloured with poly pencils and blended with baby oil.

I adore this green on his jumper and bottom of his foot.
Colours were ~ green opaque 9201-174 and pine green 9201-267
The make of my poly pencils are Faber-Castell.
The colours matched my Premium Paper Pad ~ Animal Antics. I am so in to these papers right now and can't wait for my new ones to arrive. As Tammy always says LUSH!!
To finish my card I added two brads and a sentiment. I am still looking at my card, thinking should I add a flower, should I put a bow on there???

Here is a pre-view of the new digi stamps in the store.

Get yourselves over there......they are so, so cute.
Myself and Bo can't wait to see your challenge cards......we have been overwhelmed at every ones creations....it gets harder and harder every fortnight to pick a winner.
Well....Tammy as got to shoot. I have my cleaning to do, then off to my Nan's to get hers done. I am not looking forward to it as she requested last night, she'd like me to dust her living room.
OMGosh.......this is going to be a challenge and half for me. Not only does she want it dusting.....she wants every single ornament washed too and putting back in the same place. Now I tell you....every ornament in the house is either Royal Doulton or Wedgewood.....so I am not looking forward to this. Seriously, its going to take me two days......yes, two whole days.
Wish me luck!!

My Daughter's 18th Birthday Card

Good Evening everyone - I hope that you all have had a pleasant weekend. Mine as been totally gorgeous and quiet which doesn't happen often. So I have enjoyed it to the full!!
Firstly, I would like to wish dear Colette from Teddy Bo's design team a Happy Birthday. Hope you have had a great day Babes!
So - on to my card. It's been very hard to get this done whilst my Daughter Chloe as been in the house.
She kept popping in to my craft den. Though I do think she was spying on me, to be honest.
Cheeky madam.
Little Cup-Cake is a Bath Bomb - which smells so LUSH!! Decorated with matching ribbon and flowers, plus of course I had to add a candle to finish it off. I love giving these as an extra gift.

I have coloured with my favourite medium - pro-markers and used poly pencils for shadows in the dress and balloon. This Maggie is totally gorgeous and most certainly one I like to use a lot, when making birthday cards.

The inside of the card complements the front. I love to have them matching as it gives a great finish.
The paper's I have used are Mr & Mrs  item # GP348 / Best Creation Inc.
Double sided with the main glittered....in lemon, black and white.

I have also used a Marianne Design Creatable - cut twice and attached together to form a frame.
Small butterfly is Magnolia too. Flowers as always are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Black organza ribbon with charms attached to finish off.

I am going to enter this card into 3 challenges.

* Magnolia Down Under ~ Your favourite things.
I have used my fav stamp, Marianne Creatable, flowers & colour combo.
* Magnoliahaaste ~ Markers ( pro-markers - copics )
Used pro-markers.
* Magnolia-licious ~ Black & White + your own colour choice
Used lemon as my colour choice.

Bea with Basket of Strawberries - yum yum!

Good Evening blogger's.
I have had such a busy week, that I'm afraid to say there as been no time for card making.
Won't bore you with all the details but looking after my 82 year old Nan and a 2 year old Grand-Daughter as certainly took its toll on me this week. Tomorrow is another day, and there are people worst off than myself.
At least I get a few hours break tomorrow before it all starts again on Thursday.
The joys!!
On to today's card....I have to say I love this Bea ( Teddy_Bea 077 ) reminds me so much of when I was a child and looked forward to summer arriving for the strawberry picking....where we ate more than what went in the basket and felt so sick when we got home....then never wanting to eat another strawberry.
I have coloured her with Poly Pencils and again blended with baby oil.

Not the colours I usually use but just had to get these adorable papers when I saw them over at
They are First Edition Papers 6 x 6 Premium Paper Pad - Spring Feast.
I have to tell you they are so LUSH!! A must have...the glittered effects and double sided papers are gorguss....and..200gsm too. I love good thick paper....helps an heavy card stand nice.

I cut 2 out and attached together to form a larger frame. The gap in between is hidden by the flowers and bow. But who would know if I didn't say?
Most of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts - the silk ones are from stash, that I bought last year from a wedding fair.

Here is a pre-view of all new digi stamps over at Teddy Bo... aren't they just amazingly cute. I for one can't wait to have a play - that's when I have some free time on my hands. LOL

That's all from me tonight - I am off to bed....I so need an early night.
So Good Night to all - God Bless - Sweet Dreams.
See you soon

Teddy Bo Tuesday & Challenge 9 # Easel Card

Good morning everyone, especially Teddy Bo fans that are out there.
We had some wonderful responses for the last challenge and yet again, we all found it very difficult to pick a  winner. They were so gorguss Gayle the artist wanted to pick everyone as a winner. We all told her to calm down a little - of course Gayle is over whelmed at how Bo & Bea have become so popular and loved by many people.Do check out the blog for the winners. Stunning cards.

So on to the challenge - this fortnight its easel cards. A card that is certainly loved by myself. I went through a stage of making these all the time at one point. The only problem I find with these cards is taking shots. You can never seem to get the right angle.
So I have taken a few pictures so that you can see the card in its full glory.

I have used Bea which is called " Swinging on a Star ". So beautiful to colour. The medium I have used is Poly Pencils, blended with baby oil. I had actually printed her on to bristol board as the card is so smooth it helps to blend the pencils. Perfect to work on.

Papers are from Pandura Hobby - they are called Frosted Bluegreen. Totally lush!!! The sentiment on the card also comes within the paper stack.
All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - a must have for my cards. The stars are a shape from Adobe that I printed off on to card stock. Organza ribbon and lace to finish off. Though there is some glitter on the stars, which don't really show in the pictures.

Also this month we have two Guest Designers. First up is Tabby from Tabby Craft Designs. Her cards have always been an inspiration for me and she totally got me addicted to Magnolia stamps. I dread to think how much I have spent on these little Tilda's. Actually I do know but I am not saying hehehe!!
Then we have .....wait for it.......Bev Rochester....how cool is that?  In the crafting world Bev is certainly well known, so its a real pleasure to have her aboard.
Thank you to both these lovely ladies for joining us.

Teddy Bea & Bo are now going to have new friends - yes, friends.
We haven't picked a name yet, so at the moment its a "little 'ickle elefunt".....maybe we need a poll to think up a new name?
Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Sentiments 4 You. There is a $10 prize up for grabs, so get card making folks!
Well, thank you for stopping by, hope I havent chatted too much. Have a lovely day.
