Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

Good afternoon Blogger's. Christmas is almost with us and then we have the New Year.
I hope that each and everyone of you as a super Christmas and a wonderful New Year. For me I hope 2012 brings me joy and NO health problems.
I know the world isn't going to end in 2012 as the tins of beans I bought yesterday have a sell by date of September 2013, so we are all safe for another year. LOL
Anyway - sorry I haven't blogged for this month - not felt like crafting and lost my mojo. Still can't find it. I'm sure that it will return in the New Year - it's got to as I have 5 birthday cards to make for January!
So I thought I would share some of my favourite cards that I had made this year.

This was my very first TeddyBo card - gosh look where the bears have been this year. All around the world and featured in Magazine's. Can't believe it's Bo and Bea's birthday soon.
I hope that you will be celebrating with us at all at Teddy Towers......we promise that we will be on our best behaviour!

Then there is a few Magnolia cards - Gosh I must use my Maggies more often. There hasn't been many cards created with them this year.

Then I fell in love with Saturated Canary - such sweet digital stamps

I adore Mo Manning's too but again not used them as much as I should. LOTV stamps are just the cutest and give me such a lot of inspiration and have a very talented design team.

Well, thats it from me. Like everyone else there is lots to do in the next few days. I have last minute gifts to buy and shopping.....hide my ironing lol
You will now catch me in the New Year.
Merry Christmas

Another Paper Star

I'm totally loving these and have had 3 orders so far.
This one is an order - ordered by my Grand-daughter Holly-Marie.
She walked in the other day and saw the magnolia one I did - " oh Nana, that's cute - pretty ".
So after she went home I glued together and printed the stamp that she picked. I actually thought she would go for the ballerina Bea as she is for ever getting me to print it off for her to colour.
So it was a big surprise that she picked Bo.
I have coloured TEDDYBO_155 with Poly Pencils and blended with sansodor.
Back-ground dots have been achieved with Pro-markers. I have mounted him on to gold mirror card, then placed him on to a Magnolia DooHickey Cutting Die - Tilda Doily. Cheese cloth placed behind too.  Added lots of snowflakes around the star with gems in the centre.
Holly herself punched the smaller snowflakes.
Small gold bow as been added to Bo's jumper - cute.
Yesterday - whilst I was busy cleaning and Holly's Mummy on the computer ( not keeping an eye on Holly ) I thought " Holly is rather quiet ". I found her in my craft room drawing on my Bristol Board ( and its not cheap ), sticking my new gems on the card and colouring with my Poly pencils.....there was PVA glue and glitter every where and glimmer mist on her eyes
( think she thought it was eye shadow ) - Tammy being calm, which isn't often said " Holly what are you doing "?  Her reply " making Nana and Grandad a card - look ". Now...... I couldn't tell her it was wrong or be angry - she looked so sweet and angelic. She took her creation home.....I so wanted to take a picture of her but she wouldn't let me.
I'd like to enter this star in Ready-Teddy-Go Challenge - Anything Goes
Thank you all that left me wonderful comments on my previous paper star - I am truly over whelmed.
I have two more to make, so I hope you don't get fed up of seeing them.
Off to bed now - catch you all soon.

Paper Star - template link now working - sorry folks!

Afternoon bloggers.
Tammy had some crafting time last night and finished off this morning.
I'm a follower of Inger's blog and she made the most amazing paper star lantern I have ever seen.
I fell in love with it straight away and just HAD to make one.
You can find the template HERE
It really does have a vintage feel about it.....gorgeous...and I have another glued up and waiting to dry out for me to embellish.
I have used the adorable Christmas Morning Tilda - so sweet.
Coloured her with Pro-markers - soft creams and beige's, glitter added to her frills. Mounted her on to silver mirror board.
I then cut the template down in Adobe and added sentiments. Cut out and glued on to the star.
Sentiments say - Believe in the Magic - May the Magic of Christmas Warm your Heart and finally a greeting which says its from me and my family. Punched lots of snow flakes and added gems in white and silver to the centers. I'm actually so pleased how this looks.
There is cheese cloth and some lace behind Tilda and a white / silver bow, with a glittered snowflake attached to the front with a christmas tag behind. Silver beads have been glued to the end of each point.
Once everything was set and dried I gave it a spray of glimmer mist.
I'm going to be entering this project into some  challenges as its been a long time since I entered one.
First Challenge is TOMIC which is Vintage and Lace - I think the star qualifies for this challenge.
Secondly The Shabby Tea Room which is Winter Picnic. They asks that you create a card or project inspired by the photo and USE WHITE OR CREAM, NEUTRALS, SILVER AND GLITTER! I've definately covered that.
Simon says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes
Cutie Pie Challenge - Pastel Christmas
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Anything Christmas
Addicted to Stamps - Christmas Card
Magnolia Down Under - Let it snow
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Make a gift anything but a card
Totally Papercrafts - Christmas
Charisma Cardz - snow flakes

Right I am off - to create again.

Teddy Bo Tuesday & Mid week reminder for " Christmas but NO red or green should be seen " Challenge

Made this for my Granddaughter Holly - who as a huge selection of giraffes.
He's ideal for new born / birthdays or like I've used him for - Christmas.
I have to say I think this is the BESTEST card I have made in a long time. I have had 2 orders already - one for a baby's Christmas and one for someone who adores giraffes. On to today's card.
Not sure why its called a magic card though.
Seen these around blog land so thought I'd give it a go. Totally loving it, so different from a standard square card and a little elegant looking too.

Coloured TEDDYBOBEA_087 with pro-markers.
I have used a mixture of DCWV - LINEN CLOSET and FIRST EDITION - ISABELLE.
Both are my favorite papers and colour combinations.
MARTHA STEWART punch been used at the edge of the card.
Small snow flakes are buttons - got these from HOBBY CRAFT.
Strange me not having flowers but the card didn't really need any - plain but looks sweet.

Here is the link for instructions if any one wants to play.
Don't forget you still have a few days left to enter the challenge over at Teddy Bo & Co.
Christmas creations but no RED or GREEN to be seen. That's not hard is it?
Here is a peek at the new releases of gorgeous stamps.

Have a good week folks, catch you all soon.
Happy Crafting

Magic Card & Christmas Stocking

Not the best of pictures I'm afraid. I purchased a " Day-Light " bulb yesterday, hoping that taking photographs of my cards etc, it would make a HUGE difference. At £8.99 - a bulb - its totally poo!
Its more like a 20 watt bulb. I did have a day light lamp, that I used for my cross stitch which was amazing but sadly I lent a friend and never got it back. Typical isn't it?

Anyway - on to my card, not sure why its called a magic card though.  Seen these around blog land so thought I'd give it a go. Totally loving it, so different from a standard square card and a little elegant too.
I got the tutorial for this card from here - though I have change the size,
so that its 6 inches by 6 inches.
I have used a mixture of DCWV - LINEN CLOSET and FIRST EDITION - ISABELLE.
Both are my favorite papers and colour combinations.

with pro-markers and used Poly Pencils for her cheeks and adding high-lights above where her nose should be. Then to her hat and jacket I added some SNOW WRITER - great dimensional effect - then sprinkled some GLAMOUR DUST over the top and set to one side to dry - does take a few hours. Though I have found placing it in the air-ing cupboard does speed the process a lot quicker.
MARTHA STEWART punch been used at the edge of the card. Glittered snow flakes are from my stash and were originally table decorations.
Small snow flakes are buttons - got these from HOBBY CRAFT.
Sentiment is from stash too - got these last year at the NEC. Used a little cheese cloth too and swirl die to finish off. Strange me not having flowers but the card didn't really need any.
Lots of clear and green gems added to the right of Tilda where I also added some shadowing.
Now on to the stocking - which I've made to match the card.

You can find the template for this from here.
I used a white gel pen to give the effect of stitching - looks fantastic.
Silver Christmas ribbon is ANITA'S - DOCRAFTS.
A great idea for gift cards as they are so plain when purchased from stores.
Gift tag is from CRAFT WORK CARDS.
Well, that's it from me - I'm off for a cuppa, then best clear my table else no one will be eating there for lunch tomorrow - GOSH - it is tomorrow already. What am I like?
Sleep tight everyone - catch you soon.

Desk Top Calendar

Sorry I haven't been about all week - been in my bed - so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!
Roll on when my health picks up...which won't be yet am afraid. My pre-op appointment as now been cancelled on the 6th Dec. There is apparently a big waiting list ( my doctor said there wasn't ) for the surgery, so I won't be getting it done until later next year. I'm not happy, so I'm making an appointment to see my doctor today and hopefully he'll be able to do something for me. I have lost almost a stone in weight - so can't afford to loose more. I only eat one meal a day and that's when I sit with my family at tea time. I avoid food to avoid the pains. This year as just been awful for me - one thing after the other, so hopefully the New Year will bring new and better things for me.
So on to my creation - don't want to bore you with my problems.

These acrylic frames I have had for years - so can't remember where I purchased them from.
I know at the time they were very I bought 10 landscape and 10 portrait.
