You give me the Giggles

Hope you have all had a good weekend. Mine as been the usual actually. Taxi the girls, have Holly, cook, clean and do the washing. Nothing changes really. God help them all when I start my new job in ten days ~ they will wonder whats hit them. They are so use to having me about....aren't they in for a shock? But even though I have had all that to do, I still managed to make a card......and.....had some shut eye this afternoon. I was so tired, really needed it badly!!
To the card ~ I have made this one for Just Magnolia Challenge 69 ~ Let's get sentimental.
Another card I enjoyed making. The paper's I adore and have never heard of them before but will be stocking up, they are vintage looking, with glitter on them, also have a velvet feel. The make is ~ G.C.D Studios ~ Pack is called Ella Blue ~ 8 x 8 ~ linen textured. There is flocked/foiled and glitter pages. Honest in the hand they are out of this world, adorable. I purchased them from Dunelms ~ bedding store. Carol told me they have a craft section - I was well excited when I got there....and....bought some bargains too.

I used this Tilda as she always makes me smile....she is so cheeky looking. The sentiment on the front of the easel card says ~ Laughter binds us and you give me the giggles. That's why I placed her on the wine glass. I am sure I will find a friend to give this too - as they all like a tipple or two!!

The little champagne bottle finishes it off beautifully.

Wildorchid flowers ~ link on my side bar. Used Martha Stewart round the page punch again. Love the effect it gives. I also stamped Tilda on to patterned paper so that I could cut her dress out and attach over the top of coloured Tilda. She looks lovely in a dress that matches the card, don't you think? All coloured with promarkers, then added some glimmer mist and a little glitter to the wine glass. For something extra, I rolled some paper up, that as matched the rest of the card, placed them on the top left hand corner with the flowers. Used golden/brown ribbon on the side.
I am so pleased that I started blogging, you know why? My cards are now building up again. There is always someone that calls for a card and I never have one at hand.
Well, its getting rather late this end, so I'm going over to add my linky.
Sweet Dreams everyone. Catch you all soon. If you do drop by, do leave a comment.

Splashin' Good Time

This card is for Meljens Designs Challenge 21 ~ Brown, Teal & Orange.
I have to be honest brown and teal are my favourite colours but adding orange, well I just couldn't see anything happening or them coming together at all! But...you know what? I enjoyed every single minute of doing this card. The colours came together so naturally.

I used Bubble Bath Bunny ~ she is so cute isn't she? Coloured her with pro-markers - using a mixture of oranges. The bubbles, have been coloured in with teal and sage, bath coloured with tan and brown. I then added glitter and sprayed with glimmer mist. Paper's used are my favourite too DCWV. Used Martha Stewart "round the page punch". Finally some teal, orange and beige/brown flowers to finish off....and orange ribbon.
Just thought, before I go up the wooden hill, I realised that my card can also be entered into
Chrisma Card Challenge 33 ~ DieCuts.
So off over there now to add my linky. God Bless All

Thanks so much for popping over. Do leave a comment before leaving.
Happy Crafting.

Acetate Card

Was having a play last night. Sat on the computer looking at some old card's I had made over the years. OMG!!! There was some shocking cards.....can't believe they had peel-offs on etc. Looking at them, I would now be ashamed to give them away. My card making as come on such a lot over the past ten years......even to the point of designing them. I think I might start a thread for us all to place our first ever cards on - then we can vote - and maybe give a bit of candy away. Let me know what you think! Or are you all too embarrassed to show them? Mine was peel-offs and mulberry paper hehehehe. Shocking!
Anyway - to my present card. Whilst looking at some old ones, I found that I use to make a few with acetate. Which is why I had a play last night. Love this Tilda.

She's been coloured with pro-markers. Added some bling to her necklace.
All paper's used are magnolia. Flowers from Wildorchidcrafts. Link on my side bar.

Back of the card. Difficult taking a picture when using acetate...as the light or flash reflects.

Anyway - off swimming with the Grand-Daughter shortly. So have a good day all.

Tilda card for Three Challenges

Afternoon All! Whats happened to the weather? Yesterday was beautiful. We had the Grand-Daughter for the day and she had a ball with the hose-pipe. She helped her Auntie wash the car, but I think Holly got washed more - she was squeaky clean. Now today is so cloudy and dull.
So I sat in my little craft room and made this card. One of my favourite Tilda's.
I am going to enter this card in to three challenges. I was going to enter in to another " Your favourite stamp ", but I can't find my link to the site. Computer messed up and I have lost my favourites.
Meljens Designs Challenge ~ I see Double.
Charisma Cards Challenges ~ Easel Card.
Wild Orchid Challenges ~ One for the Girls.
This is my second fav Tilda stamp. She just so adorable. Used my new magnolia papers. Love the peacock feathers. I use to have some peacock feathers but couldn't find them any where. I think its time I cleaned my craft room. So I used pro-markers to colour a white feather. Loved the effect. So now I have use for all my white feathers! Why didn't I think of that in the first place!

This is a close-up of Tilda stamp. The little cup is a digital stamp from my pccrafters collection of graphics. Just adjusted the size and coloured to match Tilda. Then sat her over the top with mounting pads.

"I see double" ~ used the stamp twice. This time cut with nestabilities. Mounted to keep easel card upright.
Well, I have loads to do, so best get it all done before someone moans at me.
Oh, whilst I think about it ~ some of you know that I have been a stay at home Mum for 21 years. I had my very first interview last week, which was very frightening to say the least.
AND................I got the job!! How good is that? It's only cleaning at a private school - Headmasters House. But I just can't wait. Got to the point where I was sick of seeing 4 walls every day. So now I will be out the house 5 days a week and the good thing is, its term time. So I am still home for when my youngest finishes school and off when she is. How good is that?
So I am going to say bye for now....and will catch you all later.
Happy Crafting.

Wedding Bliss

Being as I have been on a high with wedding cards etc. I decided to design a kit for my store at AimeeAsher. Olivia Myers art work is just perfect. I am so pleased she gave me permission to use her wonderful graphics. This is an old kit of hers, which I bought a few years ago. Just perfect for any wedding or anniversary.
Kit consists of ~ Main card which is 7 " x 5 ", when folded in half.
Cut-out sheet, which is the book and has 3 layers.
Decoupage sheet for giving your card 3D effect.
Insert.
Stand for displaying your finished card.
Box for placing the card inside.
Free pillow box for small gift.

Just add your own text, quote or verse before printing. I use good quality photo matt printing card 200gsm or ideally what your printer will take.
Remember the quality of the card effects your finished item. Regular card stock will absorb ink. Darker and brighter colours print best on photo paper/card stock. You will get a different effect using gloss, matt and textured. Experiment with stock to give the desired effect.
The kit will be available later today in my store. For the price of $5.98

Anna & Jason's Wedding

July 31st 2010
A Wedding day will be remembered for all the joy it brings, a day of love and happiness of vows and wedding rings. A day of new beginnings~learning what love truly means. Your Wedding day is just the start of many hopes and dreams.
I have to say the Wedding was unbelievable, a day I will remember for the rest of my life. It wasnt just a happy day but sad too - all knowing how much the Brides Mother's should have been there...but was sadly taken so early in life. I know that Judy was looking down on the big day and smiling with pride. She as a beautiful Daughter.
Anna is a dear of friend of mine and I hope we have many more happy girlie days together.

The kiss....................what can I say. These two have been through so much....but their love just got stronger and stronger. They are just perfect together. Makes you sit and think, sometimes realising how unhappy you are in your own marriage, thinking about the what if's.....why....can it change or is it too late?

The Wedding Cake & Photo of the Bride and Her Mother.
Not a lot I can say without crying but have found this poem.
Shes been dreaming 'bout her wedding dress since she was a little girl......white with lace, and flowing, accents made of pearl. Mother watches Daughter trying on the dresses....her daughters now a future bride and the older one confesses, she sees that little girl, again....her eyes sparkling with joy, playing bride in bedroom sheets and dreaming 'bout a boy....She grew up...she met a man who swept her off her feet..they fell in love, he proposed to her, and now her lifes complete...Daughter's eyes are dancing now..shes found the perfect fit...mother smiles proudly..This one's surely it.....Daughter turns to " Mother I love it-watcha think...?? " Mother grins , she love it too, then gives the girl a wink.....And in that very moment, Mother sees the change occur, standing, now, in front of her a woman - not a girl.

Isn't she so cute. I adore this photo of The Flower Girl.
Demi, she so didnt want her picture taken all day......love this photo as it's so natural.

Family Photo
From left to right we have.....Tasha, my eldest Daughter. In her arms is my Grand-Daughter Holly who is 19 months old. My Husband Eric, Anna the Bride, then ME, my youngest Daughter Megan who is 14 but look's so much older - will have to keep my eye on her lol. Then there is my middle Daughter Chloe, who is 17. My children are the best thing that's happened to me and love them with all my heart. I dread to think what I would do without them in my life.....they are what keep's me together.

Close-up of Chloe and Megan. Where does the time go? They are not babies any more.

The final picture is of me and my closest friend Nikki - who is the Brides Aunty. We have been friend's since school day's. Infact she as been more of a sister to me than my own sister as.
Love her to bits

Finally I would like to thank the couple for the lovely flower's they gave me on the night.
They are beautiful and certainly didnt expect them at all.
Thank you
xx
