Happy New Year to All

The New Year is almost here..............where did the last one go?
I hope that you all had a Wonderful Christmas. Mine was very eventful to say the least. Christmas was dreadful....the spirit just wasnt there. Though it was great to see my Grand-Daughters face when she saw all her presents. I do miss that. Not the same when the children get older is it? My girls felt the same. Holly will be two on New Years Day.....but sadly it as all been cancelled as her Mother as swine flu. We will celebrate a few days later. Thankfully Holly will not won't hurt. Though I do feel guilty. But the last thing we need is others taking ill. Myself, Hubby and Holly had our jabs yesterday. I do hope poor Holly doesnt get side effects from it....she's so young. But of course we had to let her have it. She was so brave too. Didn't even cry. I was shaking holding her on my lap. Stocked up on calpol in case.
So this year as been awful for me, from one thing to another. So I am hoping that the new one will bring me some joy at least. Sick of struggling and picking up after everyone, always helping other's. Time now for me to sit back and let someone do something for me for a change. Though I really can't see that happening!

I haven't made a card for such a long time now.....just under a month actually, so must get myself back in to it. I have missed it greatly but there as never been some ME time to do one. Fairydoodler sent me a wonderful digi stamp to get me in the mood....and gosh, it most certainly worked. Isnt she so cute? I have coloured her with pro-markers. Mainly warm greys/sunkissed pink/putty and sandstone. So later on today, after I have been Sainburys....I will get some papers out and mount her on a card.
Well, best get myself motivated. I wish you all the best for the Coming Year.
Do take Care......have fun in your celebrations tonight....and see you all in 2011.

Totally Papercrafts - Challenge # Christmas Punches

It's Friday again and time for another Challenge at Totally Papercrafts. The theme this week as been picked by the wonderful Heidi - So bloggers get your craft rooms warmed up, find all your Christmas Punches out and start crafting a master piece. We have had some brilliant creations for last weeks challenge, some truly amazing cards from you all. Gosh it was so difficult to go through them. So congratulations to the winners and runner ups. In my eyes your all winners, so well done to all.

What a week I have had this end. We are decorating for the Christmas Season - talk about stress. I wasn't going to be taking part in this challenge as I have furniture stored in my craft room, but as I have said before, I was getting terrible withdrawal symptoms. So I moved a few things round....squeezed myself in there......couldn't get to my ribbon box. Seems strange not being one on my card, so filled with lots of flowers instead.

I have used Fairydoodlers Snowman from her Digi Christmas Set. Isn't he just so adorable?
I fell in love with him straight away....just had to get him.....who could leave him out in the cold all on his own. If you want to keep him company, you can purchase over at Aimeeasher.
He's already coloured, so there's really no work for you. I just added a little glitter. I don't think he needed anything else. He looks quite happy the way he is.

Flowers are a mixture of Prima / Magnolia and Wildorchidcrafts.
The top picture shows my only Christmas Punch - A snow flake. Funny as I love making Christmas cards but have never really purchased punches. Still...... adding a few snowflakes with added gems, do finish the card off. Just wish I could get in to my ribbon box.
I had better shoot now - so much to do and very little time. My carpet gets delivered next week, so must rush on.
Happy Crafting Folks. Don't forget to leave the TPC Design Team comments. They put in a lot of work and always leave you comments.

LOTV - Wedding Carriage

Gosh - look at the time 1:35 am. Can't believe its so late this end. I was so carried away with making this card. Saying that, I lost most of the time moving my craft room around so that I could get in there. Stress!!

I am only going to make this a quick post, with it being so late.....can just feel my eyes getting heavy. I don't want to start making mistakes.... my spelling is bad enough as it is lol.
This is one of the stamps I got from The HobbyCraft at the NEC.
Wedding Carriage is so cute.....just wish it was a bit bigger....though the details are brilliant.

Flowers from Wildorchidcrafts - link on my side bar. Used my cri-cut again for the main back-ground....ideal for a wedding/anniversary soft.

I made this special card for my friends parents. I am so tired now folks, so will catch you all tomorrow. Take Care.

Check out this artist !!!

Good Morning blogger's. No card from me today as I can't get in to my craft room. We are decorating at the moment. My conservatory is my craft room and the only space to store furniture. Up to now we have only done the living now have the dining room to do, then the carpet gets fitted in a weeks time. Gosh, don't you just hate the stress of it all. I really don't like the mess and its actually seriously doing my head in. Because the room joins together and all open, our new carpet will measure 8 1/2 meters by 4 meters. So a rather large space to paint. If it was left to me we would just gloss the paint work but Hubby wants to undercoat first. I personally don't see the point as its not dirty or anything....just means more work.
I am getting withdrawal symptoms from card making....missing my craft room badly.
I hope that you all are nice and cosy in your warm homes and not going out in this snow. We have had very little.....some of you would say they would love NO snow but me and my Girls are wishing for some. The Midlands never get much.
Anyway, I want to introduce you to a dear friend of mine. Her name is Gayle and a wonderful artist. She as just started her own blog.......about time too! When I first got seriously into card making.....and digital scrap booking she was one of the first Internet stores I bought digital papers from. I am not going to show you the card I made as to be honest its too embarrassing. How many of you have looked back at your first cards and thought " OMG, that is just awful "? Well, telling you was....but at the time it was the most amazing card I had ever made.
We have always kept in touch over the years and did meet up a couple of years ago. It was fantastic to have met her. Her children are so adorable and her Hubby so friendly. We now share a shop at Aimeeasher...though with the credit crunch etc, we aren't doing too well. So I thought it would be nice to shout about her in blogland.
You can find her work here.
You can also find her blog here

Do go over and check them out.....there is also a freebie on her blog if you follow. How cool is that?
Here is a card kit I made using her graphics. This set I must say is a real MUST have. One I use a lot of when making cards for girls. The dress is so lush. Wonderful printing quality.

Here is a small selection of her work. I have told her that she should do lots of digi stamps too. I think they would be a great seller for her. Please do take a peek...honest you will be blown away.
Well, off to have a bit of lunch. Catch you all later.

Also if you girls don't mind - pinch her banner from my sidebar and please give her a shout on your blog too. Let's give her something to smile about and give her more followers. I remember when I had only 5 and how exciting it is even now to have another follower.
Thanks in advance.

Snowy Hug Tilda

My Snowy Hug Tilda arrived at last. So I just had to make a card straight away. I don't do masking too I thought the street lamp would look just perfect behind them both.

I am not going to write too much about the card, as I will have guests need to clean my craft den up. I am such a messy crafter...guess I won't be the first or the last.

Coloured with pro-markers and glittered Tilda's hat and coat. Snowman's hat glittered too as is the snow at their feet.

Snow flake a large die from craftworkcards, last year. Mounted it with another die - Marianne Creatable. Large brad in the center and small ones around the edge.

Circular sentiment LOTV
Well, said it was going to be short and sweet. Have a great weekend bloggers. Will catch you again next week.

Totally Papercrafts - Challenge # 43 - Snow & Snowflakes.

Good Morning Crafters.
Friday here again ~ where are the days going? This week as flown by, like the wind. The weather as just been awful hasn't it? So glad we don't live anywhere near the floods. My heart does go out to those that have suffered's just terrible...with Christmas being so close too.

So we have Totally Papercrafts Challenge, which as been picked by the lovely Caroline. The theme is Snow & Snowflakes.
I arranged a swap/challenge between us all ( the design team ) for a little fun of our own. We have altered large kitchen match-boxes, with a Christmas theme and filled the box with lots of Christmas craft goodies. I decided to show you mine for the TPC challenge.

I of course have used a Tilda - just had too. Glittered her jacket and the around her feet for the snow. Used a large die-cut snowflake, in which I added small gems and a large brad in the middle.

The ribbon on the box.....was a freebie. Actually I recycle lots of ribbons and buttons. This ribbon was on some PJ's which were bought for one of my girls last year from Primark. Bless them, they all took them off, neatly folded them and placed them in my ribbon box. I have brain washed them well, haven't I? The ribbon is actually lovely...soft pink with white snowflakes. Lush!

Flower from Wildorchidcrafts - link on my side bar, for those that have never shopped there. They have such a wonderful selection of flower's. A must have!!!
"Let it Snow" tag is an old Craftworkcards die I bought a couple of years ago. Finished off with a heart and key charm.

This is the contents of the box - it's amazing what you can fit in there. Such a lot of things. I placed all blue and white bits & bobs in mine. From flowers/labels/ribbon/brads and charms. So one lucky Lady will have lots to play with.
Well, thank you so much for popping over - do come again. I look forward to seeing all your lovely cards in this weeks challenge....not too hard for you all this week!
Congratulations to the winner and top 3 - every ones cards were amazing. Well done. Do check out the design team blogs and leave them a comment too.
I will be entering this match-box in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Sparkle!
Also Just Magnolia Challenge - week 83 White + 1 other colour.

Do have a great weekend....don't over spend on your Christmas shopping. Hey, I have only bought one thing, and thats Holly's first bike. Can't wait to take her out on it. She will love it!

Baby Boy

Good Evening Peeps. I hope you have all had a wonderful day - though not the best weather wise, is it? Not been too bad this end...very windy....I think my fence panels may just disappear down the road tonight......they are moving around terribly.

On to today's card ~ Made this for a dear friend, who's friend's baby is due sign of him just yet. Don't blame him really...better off inside where it's nice and warm.

The only stamping that as been done, is the sentiment. Circular sentiment is from LOTV.
Plus no colouring, all as been printed off the computer on to linen textured card stock. I haven't printed at "best", as I wanted it to look only printed on the "text" setting. I did however add some pink in the cheeks of the teddy and on the little duckling.

All the yummy flowers are from Wildorchidcrafts - link on my side panel.
Arent they lush?

Paper's and Teddy from CraftersCompanion - Popcorn Bear

As always the back of the cards have to have a finishing touch too. I hate to leave them blank.
I am now off to have a long soak in the bath. Catch you all later maybe.
Do leave a comment if you drop by.

LOTV - Time for a Cuppa

How lovely is she? I think this one, is totally gorguss....loving it! Got quite a few to go through yet, so not decided which is my favorite. I have used my Cri-Cut - Mother's Day cartridge for the background. Don't use it often enough, but really does look lovely. I have such a lot of brass embossing plates....which I haven't used with a light box for almost a year. This doily pattern is stunning....and certainly saves getting a light box out to emboss...then having to cut extras out. Nice to just walk away whilst it cutting - you can do something else.

Used natural colours again....though have used some pink, to give it a bit of colour. A little glitter to the cake and a gem for the cherry....and...button on the shoe.
Made this card for my Daughter's friend who's birthday is end of this week.
Wildorchid flowers - so lush!

Off to put my Sunday lunch out, so catch you all soon. Hope your weekend is going well for you all. Traa for now.

LOTV - Loving it! Loving it! Loving it!!!!

All Wrapped Up!

Christine was right " try it in another colour and you will love it"! YES......I'm loving it! How many time have I said that now? lol
Glad I stuck to colours that I like....creams and beige's. The backing paper for this is a Magnolia sheet, the spotty one is DCWV. Used my Martha Stewart punch and Marianne Creatable - Poinsettia. Seen some stunning cards at the NEC using the poinsettia, so wish I took some pictures of the wonderful cards....they were very inspirational.
Doesn't she look so sweet all glittered up. Love this card more than the traditional reds and greens. Keep saying I love it don't I.....I reckon you have got the message now. Hehehehe.

My friend was here whilst I was colouring her in with my pro-markers, so she is taken already.
Just have to make a box and add verse/sentiment for the inside.
Sorry, there is such a lot of pictures but I couldn't make up my mind which ones to use on here, so decided to use them all....hope you don't mind?
There's sod all on the box guess what I will be doing? Yep - another card. On the roll now. So have a good evening all. Enjoy your weekend.

Totally Papercrafts - Challenge # 42 - Black & Purple

Gosh - Friday already, where as the week gone? In fact the whole year as just flown by...Christmas in 6 weeks and I haven't even started preparing for the season yet. Though I have bought my Grand-Daughter presents - needed to get them out of the way......I really missed visiting girls have all grown in to young never had the need to go. So on my visit, I spent hours there...."Oh, isn't this cute" - "Holly, will love this". We bought her very first bike....a little princess one, she will love it. When Holly comes to ours she sits in the window watching the big children on their bikes or scooters. So now she will be able to join them. Think I am more excited than what she will be.
Anyway - on to this weeks Challenge at TotallyPaperCrafts - Theme as been picked by yours truly - Black & Purple. We are sponsored by Mandi Moore this week. Mandi will be giving one lucky entrant a fabulous Rubber stamp set - 'Contempo Christmas' 120594 from the new Stampin Up Catalogue. In addition to this Mandi has very generously thrown in an extra special offer. For anyone who places a SU order with her during the course of this challenge week they will be entered into a draw to win a co-ordinating bauble punch worth £15.50. If anyone would like to order any SU goodies you can visit her blog. So get over there crafters!!

My card is the gorguss James Bear from LOTV. I have a few of him to make for my Daughter's friends. I think he looks lush in Purples....not a colour I use often....but now pleased with the end result. Adding the glitter to his hat & scarf finishes him of just perfect. Sentiment I bought from the NEC - they are die cuts from Craftworkcards.

Snow flakes are from a stash I bought years a go. On my last ones now and won't beable to buy these again. Such a shame as they are great for cards. I glittered them up with purple fine glitter, added a gem in the middle.

I have Holly this mornng and she's making it impossible for me to type anymore, so I am going to shoot for now. Catch you all later. Good Luck in the challenge and well done everyone that took part in last weeks.
